Mainstreet + Square
Every card you've swiped on Square is a Google review waiting to happen.
Square already knows your regulars — every customer who's paid you, whether it's a cafe, salon, auto shop, or retail store. Mainstreet connects to Square in one click (OAuth, no keys to copy), imports your customer list, sends personalized Google review invites, and auto-replies to every review that comes in — in your voice, within the hour. Plus weekly Google Posts and 25-point map-pack rank tracking. $99/mo Founding.
No signup, no card.
What you get
One-click Square OAuth — no keys to hunt for
Click 'Connect Square', authorize on Square's site, land back on Mainstreet. That's the setup. No developer account, no API keys, no sales call. Square's standard OAuth is built for exactly this — small tools that improve their sellers' businesses.
Works across every Square vertical
Restaurants, cafes, salons, hair studios, gyms, auto repair, retail, coffee shops — if Square knows your customer, Mainstreet can invite them. One integration covers your whole customer base regardless of how you took payment.
Personalized review invites, not batch SMS
Each customer gets an invite that references you by name — with a one-tap Google review link. Attribution is built in: we track who leaves a review after being invited so you know who to thank.
Auto-reply to every review in your voice
Every new Google review gets an AI-drafted reply tuned to your business's tone. Positive reviews auto-publish. Negatives (2 stars or less) always wait for your one-tap approval, so you respond thoughtfully before it becomes a public back-and-forth.
Weekly Google Post, published for you
Google Posts are the fastest way to signal an active profile — businesses that publish weekly outrank dormant ones in the map pack. Mainstreet writes and ships one Post a week: menu item, service, promo, seasonal update. Edit or reject any draft.
Read-only access, revocable anytime
Mainstreet only reads your Square customer list (CUSTOMERS_READ scope). We never write to Square, never touch payments, never see order totals or menu prices. Revoke access from Square Dashboard → Apps at any time.
Common questions
What Square permissions does Mainstreet request?
Only CUSTOMERS_READ — the minimum scope needed to import your customer contacts (name, email, phone). We don't request payment data, order history, catalog, or write access to anything.
Will my customers get spammed?
Each customer receives ONE review invite, ever. If they already left a Google review, we skip them. If Square shows they opted out of marketing, we respect that. Your operator dashboard shows exactly who was contacted and when.
I have multiple Square locations — does one connection cover them all?
Yes. Square's OAuth returns access at the seller level, so one connection sees all locations under your Square account. You can pick which locations to include in Mainstreet when you set up your rules.
What if I switch off Square Point of Sale?
You can still invite the customers already imported — they're stored on Mainstreet's side once imported. Ongoing imports would stop until you reconnect a different POS (we also integrate with Toast, Open Dental, Follow Up Boss).
How is this different from Square Marketing?
Square Marketing runs email campaigns — promotions, coupons, loyalty. Mainstreet does the thing Square doesn't: turn customer data into Google reviews and rank higher on Google Maps. They complement each other; you can run both.
Can I preview each review invite before it sends?
Yes — you can turn on manual approval so every batch waits for your one-tap approval, or turn on auto-send once you've reviewed the template. Positive review auto-replies work the same way (auto vs manual toggle in settings).
